What Are Some After Sun Skincare Tips?

Just to note, besides the signs of premature aging that I listed above, you can also experience severe dehydration in your skin causing it to become more sensitive, irritated, flaky and itchy. This can also lead to redness and patchy spots throughout your skin as well. So here is a list of some tried and true tips for after sun skincare.

Moisturize your entire body and face. Depending on if you’re swimming in a chlorinated pool or on the beach, the salt and the sand can easily dry out your skin. Make sure to apply a moisturizer immediately to your skin so that it’s not left feel dry and fragile.

Drink lots of water. It’s important to always stay hydrated, especially during the hot summer months. It works to rehydrate your skin and keep it moisturized naturally. If you’re going to the beach, bring a large bottle of water with you and bury it the same so that it stays cool.

What If It’s Too Late For After Sun Skincare?

I like to believe that it is never too late, however, if you’re already experiencing signs of a sunburn, or dried out skin, the number one thing you can do is to keep your body hydrated and out of the sun and heat. If you’re already not good at taking care of your skin after you’ve been in the sun it can lead to some serious health risks, such as sunburn. Although too many people this doesn’t seem life threatening, but it can cause more damage than you might even know. If you’ve been burned by the sun at least 5 times throughout your life, you’re at a high risk of getting skin cancer. Consistent sunburns can also lead to sun poisoning. which is just a more severe version of a sunburn. Some signs or symptoms might lead to skin redness and blistering, pain and tingling, swelling, headache, fever and chills, nausea, dizziness and dehydration.

To treat any related after sun skincare issues make sure to follow the tips I’ve listed above or consult your family doctor if the event of a sunburn gets worse.
