La Mer is a company we’ve had our eye on for awhile, so when we took a closer look at what the company was all about, we were really surprised! The founder, Dr. Max Huber, an aerospace engineer, was able to capture the healing essence of our seas to help regenerate our skin. The rest, as they say, is history. The result has been a phenomenal line of regenerative products, products like La Mer Eye Balm. The balm uses an enhanced blend of “Miracle Broths” that are developed from marine ferments for enormous skin-regenerative effects.
How Does La Mer Eye Balm Work?
Before we get started on the ingredients and how they work with your skin, we want to talk a bit about what you can expect from the formula. The La Mer Eye Balm Intense is a luxury product, so expect luxury results. It works on a few different levels to deliver some amazing results. La Mer touts results like diminished lines and wrinkles, as well as skin that appears firmer and lifted. It also helps to soothe the skin, working wonders with puffy under-eye areas. We really like the areas this one improves, and it achieves a nice balance of nourishment and effect, so it’s well designed in that aspect as well. We’ll get into the ingredients below.
La Mer is pretty tight lipped about the ingredients, and we’ve had a hard time tracking down information on them, but we’ll tell you what we do know. First off, they’re using a marine ferment. So what is a marine ferment? Basically it’s fermenting marine plants, like kelp, seaweed, etc. Those aquatic ingredients are featured in a lot of high end products, but we’ve yet to see a ferment. We’re guessing since it’s being broken down, it makes it easier for the skin to use as nutrients. We’ve also heard from a reliable source that they’re using eucalyptus oil, which is a nice addition for not only it’s smell, but rich antioxidant qualities.

How To Use La Mer Eye Balm
This balm uses a fairly novel application method, but the method helps to prevent the cream from spoiling too quickly in the bottle. The silver-tipped applicator doesn’t carry with it the bacteria of finger applications, and it feels nice and cool while applying the balm. Simply take a small scoop of the balm and apply liberally to the undereye areas, pay special attention to puffy spots.
Where To Buy La Mer Eye Balm
