We’ve been covering a ton of South Korean products lately, and for good reason. These companies are great for dealing with, and preventing UV damage. The one we’re looking at today, the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask, is quickly gaining popularity for its ability to rejuvenate and restore skin in your sleep! It’s been getting a ton of great reviews, and it’s just getting started. Right now it reads at 4.5 stars with 389 total reviews. If you want to start reading some reviews, or you’re ready to start looking at prices (it’s super affordable) click the image above to get started!
The Laneige Water Sleeping Mask has already sold 16 MILLION units, with one sold every 12 seconds! Saying it’s extremely popular may be an understatement, but that popularity has only recently spread to the US, with the bulk of their sales showing up in Asian markets. We were pretty excited to get our hands on it, especially when we heard that it was growing so popular. So what do we think? We really like it, in fact, we’ll probably buy a couple next time around to save on shipping. We like a lot of things about it, but they really begin and end with the ingredients, which we’ll cover below. Does The Laneige Water Sleeping Mask Work?
In this next portion we’re going to look at whether or not the mask works, and take a look into the ingredients that make this mask tick. The Laneige site claims that the mask moisturizes and revitalizes skin, making it appear refreshed and revitalized even without enough sleep. In our test we applied the cream when we we knew we weren’t going to get enough sleep, but we also used it on weekends when we knew we would get to sleep in. On the nights where we didn’t get enough sleep, the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask was great. We woke up and didn’t have to do nearly as much damage control, and our skin felt great. While it’s not specifically targeting dark under eyes, we had some moderate success in that area. On days when we did get enough sleep, we also got some nice results, and woke up with great feeling and relatively great looking skin.
So what goes into making this formula work? After taking a peek at the ingredients in this formula, we get a general idea of what’s going on (outside of their proprietary marketed ingredients). Right off the bat we see a few familiar faces, Glycerin (a skincare standard), Sodium Hyaluronate (a form of hyaluronic acid), and a few plant extracts. The plant extracts are pretty interesting, with Evening Primrose, Apricot, and Quinoa Seed Extract. We’re guessing the Quinoa seed extract provides some nice proteins for the skin, while the Apricot provides some Vitamin C, and the Primrose would give a nice astringent and anti-oxidant effect. There is also one important one that doesn’t show up until way down at the bottom, alcohol. That’s good news, because a lot of companies have high alcohol content that can dry out the skin quickly.

How To Use Laneige Water Sleeping Mask
This one is pretty easy to use, but it carries with it a few precautions. Per the Laneige site, they recommend spreading small, evenly placed dots of the product evenly into the face using outward strokes. Then, when it has absorbed, go to sleep without washing your face again. They recommend using it 2-3 times per week, and also say that it’s safe for neck use.
