MAC Oil ReviewBotanically Formulated Makeup Remover

Good cleansers can be hard to come by.  They seem to either be really strong and hard on the skin, or they don’t work, but leave the skin feeling good.  There doesn’t seem to be a happy medium  Skincare companies like MAC have  heard those complaints and are starting to adapt with some nice, oil cleansers.  The Mac Oil Cleanser, Mac Cleanse Off, is one of those.  It features a botanically-minded formula with olive oil, primrose and jojoba seed.  It’s mineral oil free, so it doesn’t cause as many breakouts.  It’s useful for removing all makeup types, including waterproof mascara.  If you’re looking for a good cleanser, definitely check this one out!  Click the image above to see it for your self!

A lot of oil-based cleansers can leave a (surprise surprise) oily residue.  In fact, it leaves skin feeling much softer, and more nourished than with a typical cleanser.  Mac Oil Cleanser is Dermatologist tested, and Ophthamologist tested and uses a good mix of clinically effective ingredients, as well as nourishing oils for the skin.  It’s great for removing stubborn makeup, and even waterproof products like mascara and eye liner. We’ll dive full into the ingredients below, but if you’re in a rush to order this remarkable cleanser (we don’t blame you) then click the link below to order yours today!

How Does MAC Oil Work?

If you’ve been following Eye Serum Review for  awhile, then you know we’ve been covering a ton of cleansing oils.  It’s extra important especially with summer coming up.  We’ll start going out more, wearing more makeup, and start sweating our butts off.  That means we’ll be getting sweat caked makeup that gets tougher and tougher to take off.  That means more scrubbing, and more damaged skin from removing that grime.  Well, it would, if you were using a normal chemical based cleanser.  With oil based cleansers, you’re essentially dissolving the makeup into the oil, which you then remove.  MAC Oil is no different.  It lathers up into a soap like consistency which you then use to remove your makeup.  Afterward, you just wipe it off. The ingredient list is pretty straight forward, with Olive Oil taking the number two spot, followed by Jojoba Seed Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Rice Germ Oil, Matricaria Flower Oil, Bitter Orange Oil, Lavender Oil, Primrose Oil and Rose Oil.  There are a handful of other ingredients, like Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, PEG-20 Glyceryl Trisosterearate, Squalene and Tocopherol and Limonene, but the mix between the synthetic ingredients and natural ones is pretty good.  We definitely like what we’re seeing, and the oils serve to nourish the skin beyond their normal makeup removing duties.

How To Use MAC Oil

While we’ve seen a few different descriptions on how to use this one, the best way we’ve found has been to make sure your face is completely dry, then rub the oil into heavily soiled areas.  Then wipe wash away the dirtied oil afterward.  It leaves the skin feeling really nice, and get’s rid of pretty entrenched makeup.
