Cellulite effects more than 3 million men and women each year. Women are more likely to get cellulite, however, there are cases of men who deal with it as well. You may have a very strict diet and workout regimen, but still deal with the ugliness that is cellulite. Lastly, grade 3 has visible roughness of the skin along with grade 2 signs.

What Causes Cellulite?

As I mentioned earlier, there are several reason as to why you’re experiencing these unwanted appearance of cellulite. Although many people like to associate it with being overweight or obese, a lot of skinny people deal with it too. It is very common amongst women than men, however, both genders can experience this condition. Factors that influence cellulite include:

  • Slow metabolism
  • Lack of physical activity
  • Hormone changes
  • Dehydration
  • Total body fat
  • Thickness and color of your skin

Are There Treatments For Cellulite?

There are many products out on the skincare and beauty markets right now, such a creams. These creams claim to dissolve fat and smooth the skin. The apparent effect on cellulite may be due to the narrowing of blood vessels and forcing water from the skin, which could be dangerous for people with circulatory problems. There are doctors treatments such as liposuction, which is a surgical procedure to remove fat deposits form the body. Mesotherapy, it involved injecting substances such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and enzymes into the tissue just beneath the skin. It breaks down fat and brings a slight improvement in the appearance of cellulite.

Laser treatments can melt away the fat under the skin, break up the fibrous bands under the skin, and stimulate collagen production. Lastly, massage and spa treatments have a temporary effect on the dimpling appearance of skin. Any effect is short lived and probably due to the removal of excess fluid.
